Reports
What this is for
Reports turns your Revenues and Expenses data into a dated financial snapshot and printable documents: high-level totals for the range you pick, plus one-click generated reports (tables and, where relevant, charts) you open in a new browser window and can print or save as PDF from the browser.
Where this lives
Open Finances and select the Reports app. Amounts use your workspace currency and date preferences from Settings.
Date range
Use the calendar control at the top to choose a preset (today, this / last week, this / last month, quarter, last quarter, year, last year) or a custom from–to range. Changing the range reloads the summary numbers from the server for that window.
Financial summary cards
Four KPI cards sit under the range picker: total revenue, total expenses, taxes (labeled VAT when your company country is in the EU), and net profit. Hover the titles for short tooltips on what each includes.
Under the main figure, a line compares the current range to the previous comparable period (for example last month when you are on this month) as a percentage change—use it as a quick trend read, not a statutory filing.
Available reports
The Available reports grid lists document types you can generate. Each tile shows a name, short description, and a PDF badge (output is HTML opened in a new tab; you print or “Save as PDF” from the browser). Click the tile or Generate to build the report for the same date range as the summary.
Standard tiles include revenues, expenses, profit, taxes / VAT, depreciation schedule (from capitalized expenses), products (product-level revenue), and profit & loss. If your company country is Belgium, an extra client listing (B2B) report appears for that market.
While a report is building, its Generate control shows a loading state. If nothing opens, the browser may be blocking pop-ups—allow them for your app origin and try again.
Inside the generated report
The new window includes your company name, report title, selected period, generated-on timestamp, a short data-prepared note, and a Print / export PDF button that uses the browser print dialog. The body is built from live quotes, invoices, credit notes, purchase orders, expenses, tax lines, depreciation, and product sales as appropriate to the report type. A disclaimer footer reminds you these are aids, not guaranteed compliance outputs.
Limits
You cannot edit underlying transactions from this screen—fix numbers under Revenues or Expenses, then return here and regenerate. Empty sections or zeros usually mean nothing was recorded in that period.
